WSRC - History

Watchet Sea Rowing Club was established in 2002 with the aim of promoting sea rowing as a recreational sport, offering people the opportunity to row in the Bristol Channel and improve their health and fitness. We have four boats, two French class coxed-4 sea rowing boats with sliding seats (Quiver and Fantasy) specifically suited to the Bristol Channel sea conditions, our first club built, coxed-2 boat, Frolic, which is now a training boat and our newest boat Sarah Pilkington. This boat is unique since it is a traditional Celtic Longboat but the Club has worked with the manufacturers and developed a sliding seat version. We offer rowing throughout the year subject to tide times, sea and weather conditions. So if you fancy having a go at this fun activity please contact Lesley on 01984 634225 for further details.
